GOOD THINGS
An Awards ceremony was held November 7, 2023, at the Carrollton Center of Performing Arts. The Foundation awarded $312,000 in Grants to 30 non-profit organizations operating in Carroll, Haralson, and Heard Counties.
Giving Hearts was awarded funding to expand its Client Choice Pantry Module and Program. Funds included costs for the new location. We expanded our operations from an 800-square-foot facility to over 2200 square feet. The award allowed us to purchase 4 additional Freezers, Two refrigerators, and two rooms of additional shelving. It will also allow us to expand our program to Whitesburg, GA which is currently underway via the use of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Giving Hearts Client Choice Pantry is the recipient of several grants from the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Sept. 6, 2024
Giving Hearts was able to secure and install a portable refrigeration storage unit. The unit is like a walk in freezer and will be utilized to accommodate the larger donations received. The non profit also purchased much needed shelving and other office equipment items.
Giving Hearts was also a recipient of two
brand-new refrigerators. These were secured
through a Whirlpool Grant sponsored by Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB)
Finally, the ACFB donated a 2017 Chevy 3500 Box Truck. for their use. ACFB paid for all repairs and will pay for the truck to be wrapped with its logo. Grant funding was also used to secure auto insurance for a year.
